Live Listen is an accessibility feature available on the iOS platform which allows users to use their iPhone or iPad as a remote microphone to better hear conversations in noisy environments, or to simply amplify sound for those with hearing difficulties.
In iOS 15, Live Listen now supports spatial audio, which means that users can now hear sounds in all directions, providing a more immersive listening experience. Additionally, the feature can now be turned on and off more easily with a new Control Center toggle.
Users can enable Live Listen in the Accessibility section of their device’s Settings and can connect it to a compatible hearing aid or wireless headphones. Live Listen can also be used in combination with other accessibility features such as Closed Captions and VoiceOver.
